Privacy & Data Policy

This policy explains what personal data AIToolsReview (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We are based in the United Kingdom and handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Email address: only when you choose to submit it, for example to receive a guide, a personalised plan recommendation, or our occasional updates.
• Your tool inputs: when you use an interactive tool such as the Claude Plan Picker, the answers you select are used to generate your recommendation. If you ask us to email it, your selections and the resulting recommendation are sent to your address and logged with your sign-up.
• Basic analytics, anonymised, aggregated usage data (such as page views) to understand what content is useful. This does not identify you personally.

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the opt-in box and submitting the form. We use it to send the resource you requested and, if you agreed, occasional AI tool insights. We never sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who processes your data

We use Resend as our email delivery provider to send and manage these messages. Your email address is shared with them solely to deliver email on our behalf, under their own data-processing terms. We retain sign-ups only for as long as you remain subscribed.

Your rights

• Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify data that is inaccurate.
• Erase your data: ask us to delete it entirely.
• Withdraw consent at any time, with no effect on processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum and use only what is needed to run the site and measure anonymous, aggregate usage. We do not use intrusive advertising trackers.

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
