God’s Eye View Is Becoming a 4D Time Machine
God’s Eye View is becoming a time machine. Pretty wild that we can now reconstruct real-world events like Fleet Week, and film them in a photorealistic digital twin of San Francisco. Here’s how it works: 1. Real flight tracking data for each aircraft, capturing the air show 2. Vessel tracking data, so every boat on the bay is exactly where it was 3. A photoreal 3D digital twin of San Francisco with a water and weather system 4. A cinematic camera engine that reads the telemetry, auto-frames the action, knows exactly when to times the slow-motion speed ramps That camera engine is half the magic. I built all of it by talking to my phone, and it renders in a browser tab on my macbook. When you can replay a real event from any angle, maps stop being snapshots and start becoming time machines. That’s where God’s Eye View goes next.
